The Service Provider informs the User that it has submitted a general declaration of submission in writing, valid until revoked, to the conciliation board competent according to its registered office or – with effect extending to all conciliation boards – to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK).
The Service Provider informs Users that, in addition to Users qualifying as consumers, a civil organization, church legal entity, condominium, housing cooperative and consumer acting for purposes outside their independent occupation and economic activity as defined by separate legislation may also apply to a conciliation board, as may a consumer who is a citizen of a Member State or has their residence in a Member State, as well as an enterprise established in a Member State that purchases goods or uses services within the Union exclusively for purposes of final consumption, or acts with such an intention.
3.2. Consumer Protection Authority Proceedings
Before initiating proceedings before the consumer protection authority, the User is obliged to attempt to resolve the disputed matter directly with the Service Provider.
The User may initiate proceedings before the consumer protection authority if the Service Provider has violated the provisions of consumer protection legislation, in particular its obligations relating to distribution, provision of services, complaint handling, customer service, the quality, composition, packaging and pricing of products, the handling of warranty and guarantee claims, and consumer information.
